Objectives/Work Plan
In 2008, the focus of RAB’s work is to deliver advice to the Secretary of State, BERR, on delivery of the UK’s share of the EU target for 20% renewable energy by 2020. In order to provide comprehensive, but targeted advice, RAB has established eight workstreams to supervise the delivery of defined tasks.

Financial Support Mechanisms for Renewable Energy to 2020 and beyond |
| Activity: |
Provision of advice to BERR on possible supporting UK measures to deliver the 2020 target, including i) reviewing / replacing the RO (mature technologies), ii) support mechanisms for small-scale onsite/community applications, iii) marine technologies (EETs) and implications for state aid provisions. RAB to consider how existing support mechanisms can be further developed or replaced to provide adequate support to deliver technologies in time to contribute to 2020 and provide advice to BERR, via formal response to RES Consultation and peer review of BERR studies. |
